Rumel was educated at Elmhurst School for Boys and Wilson’s Grammar School, where he studied for his A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics and French. He went on to read Theoretical Physics at University College London and completed his PGCE shortly afterwards. Rumel has a broad range of experience teaching Mathematics and Physics in both Independent and State schools and has tutored and mentored hundreds of students across the world since starting his tutoring career over 15 years ago. In addition to setting up Capstone Education in 2012, he has advocated for the professionalisation of tutoring and writes occasionally on the Capstone blog. Rumel is delighted to support the Tutors’ Association’s efforts to promote the highest possible standards of professionalism in the industry.
When not tutoring
Rumel is a self-confessed cricket tragic who practises yoga and enjoys attending concerts. He is from a family of restaurateurs and so possesses an innate love of food and cookery, having spent the vast majority of his weekends from age 13 to 30 “on the front line”, learning the restaurant trade.
